Tips, Tricks & AnswersOur cocoa is sourced from West Africa, which produces around 75% of the world’s cocoa. We work with Olam Food Ingredients (Ofi), who partner with approximately 3 million smallholder farmers across key growing regions.
Our chocolate contains just premium West African cocoa, sugar, and a pinch of salt - nothing else.
West African cocoa offers:
- Quality and consistency – Reliable flavour profiles across large volumes, year-round.
- Supply and scalability – Stable production capable of meeting growing demand.
- Disease resistance and risk management – Varieties selected for resilience, helping protect long-term yields .
Single-origin cocoa can provide distinctive flavour, but is more vulnerable to seasonal variation and supply constraints.
Being in powdered form means we don’t need emulsifiers or fillers often found in lower-quality chocolates.
The process for creating our cocoa powder follows several stages:
- Cocoa pods are harvested, fermented, and dried by farmers.
- Beans are cleaned, shelled, stabilised, roasted, and ground into cocoa liquor.
- The liquor is pressed to separate cocoa butter from solids.
- The remaining solids are milled into cocoa powder
Yes. All blends work well in both hot and iced drinks.
