Sweet & Salty Symphony
Our Salted Chocolate features Blackthorn Salt, an artisan sea salt made from delicate, mineral-rich flakes. Its clean, complex flavour enhances the richness of the chocolate, creating a smooth, perfectly balanced sweet-salty finish.

Tips, Tricks & AnswersOur chocolate contains just premium West African cocoa, sugar, and a pinch of salt - nothing else.
Our cocoa is sourced from West Africa, which produces around 75% of the world’s cocoa. We work with Olam Food Ingredients (Ofi), who partner with approximately 3 million smallholder farmers across key growing regions.
Blackthorn Scottish Sea Salt is hand-harvested from the West Coast using a traditional thorn tower method — delivering delicate flakes and a clean, mineral-rich finish that enhances the depth of our chocolate.
Being in powdered form means we don’t need emulsifiers or fillers often found in lower-quality chocolates.
The process for creating our cocoa powder follows several stages:
- Cocoa pods are harvested, fermented, and dried by farmers.
- Beans are cleaned, shelled, stabilised, roasted, and ground into cocoa liquor.
- The liquor is pressed to separate cocoa butter from solids.
- The remaining solids are milled into cocoa powder
